ABout me

Hey, I’m Markus — a photographer based in Greenville, SC.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep love for storytelling. I believe stories have power — to heal, to inspire, and to remind us what matters. Whether I’m capturing an intimate portrait, documenting a live event, or crafting branded visuals, I aim to create work that connects with people beyond appealing visuals.

My style leans towards cinematic and rustic, but I let the subject or message guide the tone. I shoot both on digital and film formats using the Sony a6700 and Pentax Spotmatic, and I edit my photos using Adobe tools. I work solo, but none of what I do would be possible without the love and support of my incredible wife.

My faith is the cornerstone of my creativity. I’m drawn to the way Jesus used parables to move hearts and minds, and I strive to do the same with my camera. I believe everyone is uniquely made — which means everyone has a unique story worth telling.

So far, I’ve worked on portraits, events, and branding projects, and I’m currently building toward some bigger dreams like launching a YouTube channel, publishing a comic series, and one day, releasing a photo book. I draw a lot of inspiration from creators like Peter McKinnon and Olle Nilsson — artists who blend excellence with authenticity.

Also, I’m a bit of a wanderer. I’ve traveled to 16 countries and counting — chasing light, stories, and a deeper understanding of the world.
